ABOUT ME

Observations and reactions to life experiences/human relationships, and our interaction with natural phenomena fuel the images in my work. I focus on printmaking—especially hand-pulled lithography & intaglio-and mixed media drawings. I incorporate my drawings, paintings, photography, hand-made objects/ found objects as interrelated parts of my prints and drawings. Bois d' Arc Press, founded 2007,

is my working studio and print shop in Amarillo, TX. I also teach drawing and design as adjunct faculty in the art department at West Texas A&M University in Canyon, TX. I show in solo exhibitions, national/international juried and invitational exhibitions throughout the United States and my work is in numerous permanent and private collections in the United States, Australia, and Malaysia.

Education includes a Master of Fine Arts in studio art; a Master of Arts in English; a Bachelor of Arts in English/art education from West Texas A&M University, Canyon, TX and an Associate Applied Science in graphic design, Amarillo College.

A 26X48 Takach lithography press, Amergraph flip-top platemaker, KDL wash out sink, custom-made inking/paper tables, drying racks, Porta-Trace light table and flat files create a state of the art print shop. My working studio includes 2 drawing/painting areas, a computer station, and my reception/office space. Stop in the front gallery and see my work and work by other contemporary artists.
